Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
1. Introduction
At BitPeek, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our cryptocurrency monitoring application.
2. Information We Collect
BitPeek is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- Device Information: Device ID and IP (for license verification and fraud/abuse prevention only).
- Order & Contact Information: When you purchase a license, we receive your email address from our payment processor (Paddle). We use this strictly to send your license key, link your purchase, and provide customer support. (Note: All payment transactions are handled securely by Paddle. We never see or store your credit card details).
3. Information We Don't Collect
We believe your data belongs to you. Any data not explicitly listed in Section 2 remains exclusively on your device. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Custom API configuration.
- User preferences, settings and customizations.
- Application usage data.
- Personal identification information (Name, Phone, Address).
- Financial information or payment details.
- Location data or GPS coordinates.
- Contacts or address book information.
- Browsing history or personal files.
Your API keys and license data are securely encrypted and stored entirely in your
local macOS Keychain.
We have zero access to them.
4. How We Use Your Information
The limited information we collect is used solely for:
- Providing and maintaining the BitPeek service
- Improving app performance and user experience
- Bug fixing and technical support
- Ensuring compatibility with different systems
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data security is our priority:
- All user preferences and settings are stored locally on your device
- Custom API keys are encrypted and stored locally
- No personal data is transmitted to our servers
- We use industry-standard security practices for any data transmission
6. Third-Party Services
BitPeek integrates with the following third-party services to provide core functionalities:
- Payment Processor (Paddle): We use Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record. They handle all payment processing, order fulfillment, and invoice generation. When you purchase a license, Paddle collects your payment details and billing information. We do not store or have access to your credit card information. You can review Paddle's Privacy Policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Cryptocurrency Data Providers: Default APIs for pricing data, as well as any custom API endpoints you choose to configure.
- We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services
7. Data Retention
Since most data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over data retention. Uninstalling BitPeek will remove all locally stored data. Any minimal data we collect are retained for basic purposes only.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and modify your app settings
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the application
- Opt out of any data collection (though BitPeek already collects minimal data)
- Request information about our data practices
9. Children's Privacy
BitPeek is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. International Users
BitPeek is available globally. Since we collect minimal personal data and store most information locally, international data transfer concerns are minimal. However, please be aware that cryptocurrency data may come from international servers.
11. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of BitPeek after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
12. Contact
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through our official mailbox: support@bitpeek.app. We are committed to addressing your privacy concerns promptly.
